Teamsters Local Union No. 429 would like to expand the scholarship program. We currently offer one (1) scholarship each year of $1,000.00 per year, for four (4) years, while in college. We would like this expansion to include more than one (1) scholarship. Although it is easy to just add more scholarships, we, at the local, feel that the expansion of the scholarships should be funded to be fiscally sound; therefore, we are starting an Aluminum Can Drive and in the near future we will also be selling chances on Union merchandise. These chances will be sold at General Meetings, Shop Meetings and at the Union office window. Please collect your aluminum cans and let your Steward or Business Agent know so that they can collect them.
